If we are unable to accommodate your pet's emergency, we will refer you to one of the trusted facilities — MU or Horton's Discovery. We will always give you a direct recommendation based on your pet's specific situation, so you know exactly where to go and what to expect when you arrive.

What is Considered a Pet Emergency?

It’s important to be aware of the signs that indicate your pet may be experiencing a medical emergency. These signs may include:
  • Difficulty breathing
  • Unconsciousness
  • Severe bleeding
  • Ingestion of toxic substances
  • Severe vomiting or diarrhea
  • Inability to urinate or defecate
  • Seizures
  • Extreme lethargy or weakness
  • Trauma or injury
  • Difficulty giving birth
If your pet is exhibiting any of these symptoms, it’s important to seek immediate medical attention.
